Vocal mic not recognised as input

GwenGwen Member
edited November 2013 in ScoreCloud Studio
Hi, I want to arrange some vocal harmony parts using scorecleaner but the audio input box is not picking up the mic that I have plugged into the laptop. Is something else needed or am I overlooking something? Can you help? Thanks.

    Hi Gwen,

You need a MIDI instrument (or the built in virtual keyboard) to use ScoreCleaner Desktop, so unfortunately it is not possible to use your microphone and sing in ScoreCleaner desktop. While the mobile app ScoreCleaner Notes takes monophonic audio input, ScoreCleaner Desktop handles polyphonic MIDI input, has extensive editing features etc.

We are also planning to add audio input to ScoreCleaner Desktop in the near future.

There is a way of getting around this though.

You can synchronize the iPhone app to the desktop software via ScoreCleaner Cloud which makes it possible to show and edit all your recordings from the phone in the desktop software. To do this you need to create an account in ScoreCleaner Cloud.

Here are the specs for ScoreCleaner Desktop http://scorecleaner.com/more-info/technical-specifications/
