No audio output on Windows, work around

In the latest windows version of ScoreCloud there has been a problem with finding audio output. Here's a work around for this problem, we're planning to release an update shortly in which this will be solved.

First of all, ScoreCloud for windows demands Asio 4 All midi driver since the windows deafult midi driver has big latency issues which does affect the resulting scores in ScoreCloud. If you don't already have it, download the latest beta, intall it and reboot your computer: http://www.asio4all.com/

This might solve the problem automatically, if not, continue manually by walking through the steps below. To fix the problem, you need to change the bit rate for both your Playback and Recording Devices.

Change Playback Bit Rate

• Right click Speaker icon in "System Tray", next to the clock.

• Choose "Playback devices" in the menu

• Click on "Speakers" device (or other default device with green checkmark)

• Click on the Properties button

• Click on the "Advanced" tab

• Select Default Format: "16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality)"

• Click the OK button

Change Recording Bit Rate

• Click on the Recording tab

• Click on "Microphone" device (or other default device with green checkmark)

• Click on the Properties button

• Click on the "Advanced" tab

• Select Default Format: "16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality)"

Now restart ScoreCloud Studio
