Audio output?

Having the scrolling score on a big screen at the same time as hearing the audio played on several easily distinguishable instruments is a great way to get kids learn parts quickly - but I just can't get it to work. The sound doesn't go to Apple TV and so can't reach my big screen via the network; and the sound won't go to a BlueTooth external speaker to play along with a scrolling score unless I connect the computer and speaker with jack plugs which produces a horrible, distorted sound. I've tried recording it onto an audio editor but the whole thing seems to get interspersed with hundreds of small silences or records with the microphone off the tinny laptop speakers. Please, is there a way of getting an audio file out of my score as I used to with Finale? …or getting it to play over an Apple TV? I'm using a MacBook Pro.

    Hello Ann,
We will test the Apple TV connection and see if we find anything.

    Hi,

In the updated program, you can download an mp3 of your score. You will see instructions if you click "Export --> Song as audio file" on the File menu to see instructions for how to do that.

(Note that the MIDI sounds on mac are the internal OSX MIDI sounds, so the sounds in the export might sound different.)

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Ann
I tested connecting to an Apple TV without problems, see this linked movie:

Have you tried playing other audio apps through the Apple TV?
    Best,
