Triplets

I have written a triplet and eighth note successfully in one beat (so each note of the triplet has 1/3 the beat of a eighth note) but for the life of me I can't get it to accept the same thing reversed (an eighth note followed by an equally weighted triplet). Any suggestions?

    The second picture is what I want except reversed, the first picture is the closest I can get the program to accept, but it's not what I want

    Hi!

    This is how I do this in Manual Input:

    * Select the eighth note in the note swatch to the left
    * Press the key on the keyboard for the note you want (for example "a")
    * Select the sixteenth note, and then the triplet in the swatch
    * Press the keys for the three notes you want (for example "a", "b", "c")

    You can also select the beat you have there, by clicking on the orange bar, and choose a different rhythm from the drop-down in the Actions Panel on the right side!
